February 5 to February 15: MWD Pipeline Drainage
The Metropolitan Water District will drain its underground pipelines in the San Jacinto area.  As a result, managed water flows may be seen entering/flowing into drainage structures. Once the pipelines are drained, MWD will perform inspections and any maintenance as needed. For more inforrmation, contact Vince Antonino, MWD External Affairs at 213-217-6494 (office).

Housing Rights and Responsibilities Workshops
The Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board (IFHMB) is providing informative presentations about California Laws on evictions, repairs and security deposits, federal and state housing discrimination laws, and housing rights and individuals living with disabilities. El Niño: Are you ready?
With the El Niño weather pattern emerging, it’s critical to prepare yourself for any contingency regarding this unusual phenomenon.  In fact, preparing for it is as simple as clicking the links listed below.  These links provide useful information about El Nino, its expected impacts and how to develop a plan to keep you prepared for the worst.     

Important El Niño related information:

It is the responsibility of the property owners to protect private property prior to storm events. To do so, sandbags can be purchased at local hardware stores and/or building supply stores. Check with the local fire station for availability of sand.

FEMA Urges Californians to Purchase Flood Insurance
In light of the anticipated El Niño storms and rains, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is urging Californians to buy flood insurance, even if they live in areas of low to moderate risk. Californians can find information on flood insurance and build flood risk profiles on the website FloodSmart.gov.


Through funding from the State of California’s Strategic Growth Council, the City of San Jacinto is beginning a community-based planning process to create the Downtown San Jacinto Specific Plan. This plan will provide long-term guidance for positive growth and change to enhance the quality of life in San Jacinto. Street Sweeping Enforcement Notice
Effective July 1, 2015, the City of San Jacinto is enforcing street sweeping parking restrictions. Vehicles parked on the street on assigned street sweeping days will be ticketed.
