Stray Pets in San Jacinto Valley
Now Kenneled in Riverside

Stray San Jacinto Valley pets found by Riverside County Animal Services officers in unincorporated areas are now heading to the new Western riverside County / City Animal Shelter for care and boarding. In the past, Animal Services contracted with the Ramona Humane Society for boarding such pets. Ramona Humane Society is no longer responsible for receiving unwanted or stray pets from unincorporated areas of Riverside county.

If a pet owner lives in an unincorporated area in the San Jacinto Valley and is looking for their lost pet, they should call 951-358-7387 or review Animal Services’ Web site – – to find out if the animal is currently housed at the Western Riverside County / City Animal Shelter (located at 6851 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, 92509). This is a temporary arrangement until the county’s new San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus on South Grand Avenue in the city of San Jacinto is scheduled to open this July.
