San Jacinto Highway 79 Road Work:
Work beginning September 2011 on a three-month project in which Caltrans will be working on a stretch of Sanderson Avenue in San Jacinto that will involve some lane closures. The project, along Highway 79 from Ramona Expressway to Gilman Springs Road, will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ramp from Highway 79 to Gilman Springs road will be closed intermittently, along with some of the lanes on Highway 79. The $673,000 project is designed to improve drainage, replace guardrails and modify lighting along the route. Lengthy delays are not expected but Caltrans is advising drivers to give themselves a few extra minutes of time to account for the road work
